Who we are.

This privacy notice explains how Ströhm & Bauer Ltd. ("Ströhm & Bauer", "we", "us" or "our") handles personal information when you visit our website, request an invitation, contact us, or purchase from us.

For privacy enquiries, you may contact us at hello@strohmandbauer.co.

02

Information we collect.

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number and delivery or billing address.
  • Invitation information, including the email address you submit to request access to a private release.
  • Order and transaction information, such as products purchased, order value, delivery details and payment status. Payment card details are generally handled by our payment service providers rather than stored by us directly.
  • Correspondence, including messages you send to us and records of customer-service communications.
  • Technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location, referral source, pages viewed and similar information produced when you use a website.
03

How we use it.

We use personal information where reasonably necessary to:

  • register and administer invitation requests;
  • send the release communication or other message you specifically asked to receive;
  • process, fulfil and support orders;
  • respond to enquiries, returns, warranty requests and customer-service matters;
  • operate, secure and improve the website;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
  • meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.

If you register only for a Signet invitation, we use that address for the requested release communication. We do not treat that request as permission to enrol you in unrelated ongoing marketing unless you separately choose to receive it.

04

Legal bases.

Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we process personal information under one or more lawful bases, including performance of a contract, your consent, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business and serving customers.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

05

Cookies and similar technologies.

Our website may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies for essential functionality, security, remembering preferences, measuring site performance and understanding how visitors use the site.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies, those technologies should be used only after the required choice has been presented. You can also control many cookies through your browser settings.

06

Who receives information.

We may provide personal information to trusted service providers where necessary to operate the business. These may include website hosting providers, email-delivery services, payment processors, fraud-prevention services, fulfilment and delivery partners, analytics providers, customer-support systems, and professional advisers.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or the rights of others, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a reorganisation, sale or transfer of the business.

07

International transfers.

Some service providers may process information outside the country in which you live. Where data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we take appropriate steps intended to ensure that the transfer is protected by a recognised legal mechanism.

08

How long we keep information.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide products and services, maintain warranty and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal, tax and accounting requirements.

When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our operational and legal obligations.

09

Your privacy rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information. These can include rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Residents of certain jurisdictions, including California, may have additional rights concerning the categories, sources and uses of personal information and certain disclosures to third parties.

To make a privacy request, write to hello@strohmandbauer.co. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

10

Security.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No website, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11

Children.

Our website and products are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

12

Changes to this notice.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time to reflect changes in our website, services, business practices or legal obligations. The date at the top of this page indicates when the notice was most recently revised.

13

Correspondence.

If you have a question about this notice or the way we handle personal information, contact us directly.
